Stinger
Many manufacturers claim to offer protection against unwanted speeding tickets with their driver safety systems but only Stinger can offer complete discrete protection. Our aim is to integrate either Stinger system to the vehicle with no visible exterior components, just absolute effectiveness.

With a multitude of industry-firsts and industry-only's, Stinger is the world's leading speed trap protection device. For instance, only Stinger offers an optional military grade radar antenna, only Stinger offers a real spectrum analyser, and only Stinger offers all-in-one speed trap protection against all the different kinds of speed traps: mobile and fixed radar speed traps, mobile and fixed laser speed traps, as well as both SPECS and Truvelo speed traps and all that at the highest level.
Stinger offers two basic product options: The Stinger VIP Computer and the Stinger Card. Using similar radar and laser antenna's, both the Stinger VIP and the Card deliver the exact same high-end performance. Also, both the VIP and the Card are car computers that are user updateable, making them ready for future technology changes (like different kinds of speed traps) and product improvements. However, there are two differences between these two Stingers. One, the VIP offers the Mileage Logging functionality while the Card does not and two, the VIP comes with a touch screen graphic display, while the credit card sized Card uses an LED-display.
Both devices when equipped with the laser heads are capable of producing, if you choose to activate this feature, a unique “laser shield” more information about this feature is available at www.stinger.com
Both systems are component based, ie the modules, Freedom Laser Computer, GPS receiver and especially the laser heads themselves are fitted to the vehicle in an extremely covert manor. The only visible part of the system will be the VIP display or Card.
There are many similar devices on the market that claim to offer the same level of protection as Stinger but in our opinion none actually deliver.
A full install will normally two days depending on the vehicle, we of course offer a complimentary courtesy vehicle while the install takes place. Due to the complexity of the installation, Stinger fitments can only be carried out in our Bishops Stortford workshop.
The latest laser detection heads are fibre optics, this means the actual head diameter is less than 3mm making the most descrete on the market.
The most common configuration is front laser protection with GPS, this gives warnings of all fixed camera`s with a life time of free data base updates, as well as laser front warning and shield if switched on (this function only operates for three seconds) and is fully automatic. An installation like this, GPS Card based will cost from £2499 fully fitted and the VIP is from £3599 fully fitted.
The brand new Freedom Laser can be installed without either the Card or the VIP, this gives extremely discrete laser protection from £2499 fully fitted.
The Diagram below shows some other options for front protection.

We now have countless stinger installations under our belt, most of which to high end vehicles, below are a few examples of Card and VIP installations.
Above: This is a Stinger VIP custom install, this Audi RS6 was equipped with a Stinger VIP crafted into the ash tray, along with Target Blu-Eye, emergency services vehicle detection. This vehicle was also fitted with both front and rear laser protection.
Above: Stinger VIP fitted to Range Rover Autobiography, this vehicle was also equipped with full laser protection.
Above: BMW fitted with Stinger VIP, full laser protection and Target Blu-Eye Emergency Services early warning system.
Above: This shows a Stinger GPS Card fitted to a Mercedes SLS, the holder was moulded into a custom housing which was then fitted alongside the driver’s seat. This makes it easy to reach, very discrete and it looks like part of the car, we even finished it in the Mercedes colour and hi-lacquer. This system was linked to 3 individual laser analyser/diffusers, all installed well out of view.
Above: This shows a Stinger GPS Card fitted to a BMW M5, the card has been moulded into the panel by the drivers knee, it’s very neat and tidy and looks like its meant to be there. This system is linked to three separate laser analyser/diffusers.
The diffusers can be switched on and off at the press of a button.
Above: This shows a Stinger GPS Card custom fitted to a BMW X5, The holder has been moulded into the dash panel and finished in the exact paint to match the interior.
This system was installed with 3 separate laser analysers / laser diffusers for ultimate peace of mind and safety.
Above: Another example of a Stinger GPS Card installation, this time it sits neatly at the base of the dash in a Jaguar XK RS, This car was also fitted with no less than three separate laser analyser / diffusers for driver safety and peace of mind.
Above: This is a Stinger Card GPS fitted in the driver’s side pocket of the new Audi RS3, its tidy and easily reached from the drivers position, This system is also linked to front laser analysers / diffusers to create a laser shield when required.
